Today's Christmas Reflection

A moment of prayer and reflection for your family

Wednesday, December 10, 2025

"Comfort, give comfort to my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem."

— Isaiah 40:1-2

Reflection

Today we hear God's tender words of comfort to His people. As parents, we are called to bring this same comfort to our children—to speak tenderly, to reassure them of God's unfailing love, and to prepare their hearts for the coming of Jesus. In the busyness of this season, take a moment to offer words of comfort and encouragement to each member of your family.

💌 Family Activity

Write a Comfort Card

As a family, write a card or note to someone who might need encouragement—a grandparent, a neighbor living alone, or a friend going through a hard time. Deliver it together or send it in the mail!

Today we continue to rejoice in the birth of Christ. The Christmas season is a time to celebrate with family, reflect on the gift of the Incarnation, and share God's love with others.

Did You Know?

The "Twelve Days of Christmas" song originated in England, possibly as a catechism teaching tool. Each gift is said to represent an aspect of the faith—the partridge represents Christ himself!
